Henry Worrell was probably born about 1725 in Maryland.

John Worrell was born in Baltimore, MD on 3/13/1752. He married Abarilla Gorsuch on 3/5/1782 in Baltimore, MD. John’s will was read 2/15/1786. He left everything to his wife. His son Charles was only 3 when John died.

GORSUCH
Richard Gorsuch immigrated before 1659, and was killed by Indians
in 1661, and had resided near Baltimore, MD. His son Charles married Marry
Cole (Coale). He received a grant from King George II, and also built the
ancestral home “Charlesboro”. Charles Gorsuch was a Quaker.
The next generation, son Charles married Sarah and had 2 children,
Sarah & Charles. This son Charles was born 10/12/1725, and married
Margaret.

Abarilla married John Worrell in 1782 and after his death married Nathan Wheeler in 1790.
After Johns death, Charles, his youngest, married Eleanor (Ellen) Tipton who was born in 1786, in Maryland. Charles was born in 1783 10 miles west of Baltimore, MD. They resided near Zanesville, Ohio, Muskingum Co. They moved to McDonough Co., IL in 1834, then to LaHarpe, Hancock Co., IL. Eleanor (Ellen) died in 1873, at 87 & Charles died in 1870 at 87. Both are buried 3 miles east of& 1 mile north of LaHarpe, IL in Westley Chappel Cemetery. Charles served in the War of 1812.

Charles Worrell Sr. had 5 sons and most were bachelors and lived
and died under parents roof, all lived to good old ages. When father &
sons came to town, they all came. The wirter of “The LaHarpe” newspaper
said father would come and vote and stand aside and call them by names
up singly in order of their age, oldest 1st, so they could vote Democratic
only.The old gentlemen would carry a birch stick with him and did not spoil
the children or spare the rod. They were all honest and upright in all
dealings.
Charles Worrell Jr. was born 2/19/1828 in Baltimore, MD. He married
Sarah Harris on 12/18/1859 in McDonough Co. and had 3 children. He died
1/6/1898.
