Milton Dale Hamilton

 Milton Dale Hamilton was born Aug. 8, 1923 in Kewanee, IL, twin 1 hr before Mildred at 7 ½ lbs. Milt (Hammy) died July 1, 2011 at age 87. He married Marilyn Jean Fisher Feb. 15, 1944 in Tellahoma, TN. Marilyn was born Oct. 15, 1923 in Harrisburg, IL and moved to Kewanee when she was 6.  Marilyn died Nov. 30, 2004 of liver failure and was cremated. Milton served in the army during WWII and was in the Utah Beach invasion and the Battle of the Bulge under General George Patton. He earned 5 Battle Stars: 1) Normandy 2) Nothern France 3) Ardennes 4) Rhineland 5) Central Europe. Milton left for the Army 6/19/1943 at Camp Grant. He went overseas 4/1944 and arrived back in New York, NY 12/17/1945. He also attended Franklin Elem. School in Kewanee. Milt attended Wethersfield High School. He gained over 2000 yds as a Junior in high school football and finished 2nd in the Illinois State Track meet behind Buddy Young with a time of 9.8 in the 100 yd dash. He owned his own roofing company and later served as executive director of Warren Co. Housing Authority, Monmouth, IL. Marilyn was the IL State Baton Twirling Champion in High School & a school teacher in Bradford, IL & Wethersfield Schools in Kewanee, IL where she taught kindergarten. They had two sons both born in Kewanee, IL.

 Milton ‘Rick’ Hamilton was born June 23, 1948 in Kewanee Public Hospital in Kewanee, Il. He married Diane Susan Heine of Elgin, IL. Aug. 31, 1974 in Kewanee, Il. Diane was born Sept. 13, 1954 in St Joseph Hospital in Elgin, IL. Diane is a Registered Nurse (RN). Rick was a schoolteacher & administrator.

Brian was born Feb. 24, 1978 in Moline Public Hospital, Moline, IL. He graduated from Riverdale Schools in Port Byron, IL in 1996. He graduated 3rd in his class. He was a 4 time high school AAU All-American Gymnast & 9 time AAU Floor Ex. Champion. He attended the Uni. Of Iowa on a gymnastic scholarship and was a 2 time NCAA All-American & 4 time Academic All-American and Big Ten High Bar Champion. He holds the Uni. of Iowa record on high bar at 9.925. Brian was selected as one of the top 100 greatest athletes of the 20th Century for the Quad City Area. He graduated in the top 5% of his class in Accounting from Iowa in May, 2000. He earned his masters degree in accounting at Iowa in June, 2001. He is employed as CFO of Pop Weaver Popcorn in Noblesville, IN. He married Robyn Gamble from Noblesville, IN on July 27, 2002. She was a member of the women’s gymnastic team at the Uni. of Iowa. She held the Uni. of Iowa school record on Balance Beam at 9.9. Robyn Manages her father’s businessThey live in Westfield, IN

Chad Hamilton – Cornell Football

Chad was born March 29, 1979 in Moline Public Hospital, Moline, IL.  He graduated from Riverdale Schools in Port Byron, IL in 1998. While in high school, Chad was prom king and 1st team all-area nose-guard in football. He received the Senior out-standing athlete of the year award for his efforts in football, wrestling (Most pins his senior year), track. He attended Cornell College where he earned a varsity letter as a freshman in football. His sophomore year, Chad injuried his left knee (ACL) and was out of football as a player but helped in a coaching role. He graduated from Cornell in June, 2002. He is teaching PE & wrestling coach. He married Bridget Ouellette from Dubuque, IA on July 9, 2005. Bridget graduated from Northern Iowa Uni. She is an Elementary teacher.
